“I love running. I’m not into marathons, but I am into avoiding problems at an accelerated rate.
” ― Jarod Kintz

Running last night was pure agony for me and why?
1. My ipod battery wasn't charged so I had no fast music to motivate me.
2. It was humid, humid, did I mention humid?
3. I ran out of water.
4. The flowers outside smelled awful.
5. Things on the road were grossing me out, I saw an armadillo corpse and a wasp ready to sting me. However the latter definitely motivated some running lol!

But despite it all, I got some exercise outdoors in weather that doesn't involve a jacket. It was nice to see so many people out enjoying April weather, kids were playing in the street and men were out golfing and dozens were out running.

This is what I'm running in these days

Kale Yeah!

Oh Kale, when did you become so hipster? But it is pretty darn tasty too. So for dinner we had a nice kale salad 1 C kale, chopped 1 C Spinach, chopped 1/2-1 C Cole slaw blend with carrots 1 can of drained and rinsed white kidney beans 2 Roma tomatoes, chopped 1/2 purple onion, chopped lemon pepper to taste sunflower seeds toss with your favorite dressing So simple and yet satisfying, we completed the meal with a nice piece of buttered bread. YUM!

Peach on Earth

We had our Office Christmas Party the other day and decided on a three ingredient no-fail recipe! It always delivers and rarely leaves leftovers. Peach-BBQ Lil' Smokies 2-14 oz package of Lil' Smokies cocktail sausages 1-16 oz jar of Peach Preserves 1-16 oz bottle of BBQ sauce Put all ingredients into a crockpot, stir and cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours.  Serves 12-15, I would double for larger crowds.

Fast Food Fries

It's a fast food dinner kind of night, sometimes nothing is better than a large order of fries. It will cure what ails you. So what's your favorite fast food fries???
