Black Friday & Weekend Shopping

So it's been awhile since I have been able to blog, this time of year is just crazy busy. But I did manage to get in some Black Friday shopping, so here are my coupons, deals and discounts from the stores I visited from A to Z. I can't reveal all my purchases because gifts are involved :-)

Bath & Body Works-I had a coupon for $10 off a $30 purchase, So I got some foaming hand soap, 6 for $24, then I got mini hand sanitizers at 5 for $5. I was only at $29, so I threw in an extra mini hand sanitizer for $1.75. Plus I got a free item up to $12.50. I only spent 21.95 and got a coupon for my next visit for $10 off a $30 purchase.
Best Buy-This was the one shopping trip the hubs went on, Deal was for micro SD cards.
Hobby Lobby-All Christmas items were 50% off.
Kohl's-15% off total purchase, plus $5 off coupon and $15 Kohl's cash with $50 purchase. Plus I got points for my Yes to Rewards.
Office Depot-They had some sales going on but micro SD cards were sold out, so it was a total bust!
Ross-No coupons here, just a good deal on a stocking stuffer.
Target-40% off all apparel and I purchased a clearance item, plus saved 5% with my redcard.
TJMaxx-No coupons here, just some good clearance deals and I got a couple of name brand clothing store's tank tops for $1 each.
Ulta-Ulta products for $5 each, plus other makeup buy one get one 50% off, Plus a $3.50 off coupon. And I got another coupon for $5 off my next purchase. I also got points for my ulta rewards card.
Victoria's Secret-Saved $10 with printed coupon, plus got a free item and a reward card worth either $10, $50, $100 or $500  for use December 4-19th.
Walgreens-Used Balance reward card and saved on a black friday sales item.

Peach on Earth

We had our Office Christmas Party the other day and decided on a three ingredient no-fail recipe! It always delivers and rarely leaves leftovers. Peach-BBQ Lil' Smokies 2-14 oz package of Lil' Smokies cocktail sausages 1-16 oz jar of Peach Preserves 1-16 oz bottle of BBQ sauce Put all ingredients into a crockpot, stir and cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours.  Serves 12-15, I would double for larger crowds.

Cafeteria Classics-Sloppy Joes

1 pkg veggie crumbles 1/2 C onion, chopped 1/2 C kidney beans 1 pkg sloppy joe seasoning mix 1 6oz can of tomato paste 1 1/4 C of water Brown veggie crumbles, add onion and cook until clear. Add beans, Mix in seasoning, tomato paste and water. Bring to a boil and reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Stir often. Serve on buns with cole slaw if desired.

A simple kind of Pizza

Hot gooey cheese, burning the roof of your mouth sauce, and crunchy, crusty bread. Yum! It started with a pizza in fifth grade home economics. The recipe was French Bread Pizza, the ingredients were simple, bread, sauce, cheese, and meat. But that was all it took, my culinary spark was lit. I went home and wanted to give my school recipe a try. The actual ingredients were French bread probably from the local grocery store's bakery. The remaining ingredients were less than wholesome, a can of salty tomato sauce, a block of mozzarella you had to shred yourself, and greasy pre-sliced pepperoni you simply had to taste. Hopefully you managed to save enough for the pizza. And Voila, I felt just like a chef! Did it matter that the only chef I knew was Chef Boyardee? Of course not, because I could make my own food.
